One of the other guys who was an extra has been fighting a cancer battle and his family asked me if there was any way i could organize a screening because they didn't think he would be able to make it as far as the films release in Feb. I have found a venue - the Coliseum Cinema in Brecon who are prepared to screen the film on Monday the 12th of November at 7.30pm. The cinema is not usually open on a monday but the people who work there are prepared to come in on that night and run the film. There will be an admission charge of £5.50 to cover all costs of making the film happen on that evening. As i write this to you i have just found out that the gentleman who we we're arranging this for has lost his fight against that dreaded disease.
The cinema has 187 seats and so far 135 of these have gone. One of the reasons of contacting you was that i knew you are a friend of Big Barry. Barry really helped us in Wales with getting people along. Some of the other clubs who took part have been in contact and on average have reserved between 12 and 25 tickets. Tickets are not on sale to the general public and cannot as yet be bought through the cinemas box office. I am collecting names and numbers of people who are interested in attending and then which will be passed onto the cinema manager nearer the time. I think then what will happen is that people will just pay on the night. The circumstances of the screening aren't ideal and all of this has happened very suddenly. If you Barry and some others are interested in attending the film email names and numbers and i will add them to the list.
Kind Regards
Jon Ivay
