Re Riders Cardiff - I had a letter from Riders and Phil Jessopp (well - signed by him) on 12/8 saying amongst, other things, that..

"It is with total regret and disbelief to inform you that we have had communication from Harley-Davidson UK, stating that H-D UK will no longer be proceedign with us in South Wales and will be seeking to establish representation through another partner instead."

Cheers for the update on Riders in Cardiff - shame I was lookin forward to it opening and a chance to meet up with some other Harley riders in a new chapter in the Cardiff area.

Rode down to St Tropez in June and would be interested in future rallies. Keep me posted!

Hi, I'm a new member from Swansea. I'm not a Harley owner, but I do own a Buell XB12X, so, if there are any issues with a non-Harley owner in the forum, let me know and I'll retire gracefully into the background!

On the Riders saga, I was at the NEC last week and I was told that Riders are once again on track to open in Sloper Road, Cardiff with a HD/Buell, Ducati and BMW dealership. (I was told this on the BMW stand by he way).

First of all Buells is Harleys as far as we're concerned!

As to Riders; I spoke to senior H-D people at the recent Presidents' Meeting in Lithuania ( if you're not an HDRCGB Club member this'll mean nowt to you but click on the triangular logo on the homepage for details) and they confirmed that Riders had dipped out because they'd effectively been messing H-D about. HD-UK are still actively seeking a dealership in Wales and are fully aware that they're missing out on business because there isn't one.

I would not be surprised if Riders sell and service second-hand Harleys and Buells in Cardiff , but my understanding is that it will be a Ducati and BMW dealership.
