Arlen Ness stage II big sucker.

Hi,

Just purchased and fitted the stage II replacement air filter as an upgrade to my stage I big sucker.

Basically it flows about 20% more air, and is a cheap upgrade because it fits the standard big sucker backing plate. I did have to get 3 new bolts which were 1/2" longer (45p from Earnest Doe). I already had the 8" nostalgia filter cover. The filter was about £40 delivered from Wallyworld US. It was way cheaper than buying the new Big Sucker kit complete.

As an aside, if you ever require any sockets, bolts, nuts, etc. for your HD call in at your local Earnest Doe, they are cheap and still stock imperial stuff. ;)

Re: Arlen Ness stage II big sucker.

Hi Bill, what do you think of the big sucker, I have been considering one of these kits for a while, I have a screaming eagle kit fitted at the moment. did you have a performance filter fitted before you fitted the big sucker, and did you feel a difference, any advice would be appreciated.
thanks evo12c

Re: Arlen Ness stage II big sucker.

I went straight to the big sucker, what swayed me was that there is no likelyhood of oil dripping onto my filter.
I am very pleased with the product, and it made a huge difference over stock. However I did change the exhaust to a propipe and fit a PcIII at the same time ;D

If you go this way, get the stage III kit and fit an 8" cover over the top.
