Oil on carpet

Went through the house the other day and got oil/grease on the carpet. the wife used WD40 on it and it came right off. she then went over it with something that smelled better so it didn't wiff of WD40. Glad it came off as l was in the doghouse for that. Gets bugs off the car and bike too.

so does brake cleaner, dont know about colour fast dyes in carpets though ???
