| Bike lift
I found this on the internet and thought that if others hadnt seen it before it is really easy to build, I made it and use it on my Electra Glide. I could not find the pipe and flange to buy, but Boons Agricultural Services, Benwick, made the pipe and the flange for £2.50. the rest was bought at Ridgeons Builders Supplies. Check out the link. |

| Re: Bike lift
This is a rip off of the famous Ricko's bike lift as seen on www.sportster.org for a long time now. And yes, it does work, is bloody cheap and is thoroughly recommended!!

Yeah, I can vouch for this too, it works and the total outlay was less than 15 quid and 30 minutes work! |

| Re: Bike lift
EXCELLENT post Cookie - yeah I've had the nightrider version saved down on my computer for a few years. I use something very similar that a mate who worked in a foundry sorted for me at a similar price - no worries about stability. A fraction of the cost of the Machine Mart lift without any of the nerves!! |

This is an excellent piece of kit ;D I've been using one for 4 years. As seen on my web site http://www.spen-crowson.co.uk/bike_stand.htm : ![]() I use it for eveything from washing the Glide to major maintenance ie: belt change. Spen 8)

| Re: Bike lift
Used one for the last 4 years. I have to use one just to lift the Dyna enough to get the Machine Mart lift underneath. Made mine a bit more simple two pieces of 6"x 2" screwed togather cheaper and easier to obtain than the *4" stock, any piece of pipe or bar you have kicking around drill hole through timber same size, don't see the point of the flange. Should get it down to a fiver. Then buy a lift get the bike in the air save all the scrabbling about on the ground. ;D pete Of course the 6"x 2" is cut in half with the jigsaw Kim. ;D
