Fitting after market mirrors

Good day fellow Hogists. The front throttle side mirror mounts using the threaded indicator boss which has a 5/16 UNF thread where as most after market mirrors I`ve seen are supplied with a 5/16 Whit thread. To fit the boss buy a 5/16 Whit or UNC bolt ( interchangable thread on 5/16) with an unthreaded part near the head 2 1/2" long, cut the head off and then run a 5/16 UNF die down it. hey presto ! Only registered today and a tip already. Peace Fatrain
