POWDER COATING

DO IT SATIN BLACK ;D
do not belive the old saying on this subject.[you gets what you pays for]. iv powder coated more bike frames ect than the greeks had his face on the harleyquin.if its black or red or blue ect[basic colours] just look in the phone book and look under powder coating. phone to see if they have a shot blaster to remove the old paint and a ruff idea of cost. let just say that compaired to powder coaters that place adds in bike mags it will be half the price.but as i said before only basic colours. i had about 7 or 8 items done at a well known powder coater it cost the best part of 170 quid. took twice as much to a local industrial coaters 45 quid, and the finish was just as good. my x had 2 frames 2 swinging arms 4 wheels and all the brkets ect done in 4 different colours.
the total cost for all this work 240 quid need i say more. the colours were red white black and purple.

Re: POWDER COATING

this is just a add on to the above.
DO NOT PLASTIC COAT ENY BIKE PARTS. THATS PASTIC NOT POWDER. if you scratch plastic coating water gets under and starts to rust your frame or what ever you had done. but you can't see it. the first thing you will know about it is when the part gives way. iv seen this first hand, the bloke was very lucky. its only because he wanted to chang colour that he brought the frame to be coated as on the out side it looked good as new.

I had a frame and bits coated at a place in Maidenhead,
about 2 years ago. Cost £70-ish..
Can't remember the name but they did advertise in a biking publication.
