| Cheap Buggers Stage1 ![]() If you're like me, and would like to save money on the H-D stage1 Air Cleaner KIT (£140 odd) why not just get a K&N Air Filter that fits inside your OEM Air Cleaner Housing, cut out as many 1 or 1&1/2 inch holes in the back, and smaller ones along the bottom of the Air Filter backing plate/housing to let more air in. Pop some slip-ons on, re-jet (In my case I'm getting a DFO in the post any day now) and off you go... K&N Numbers HERE...No kit required, they fit the original housing |

AND I don't hafta pay the Stealer for a reflash!!!...![]() Now, wheres the Mrs's purse for the pipes etc.............. |

Wow, I knew you guys were technical but I didn't realise quite how far you were prepared to go to show the rest of us up Building scheme for DFO: DFO can be built using building units of 22T atoms consisting of two sets of double T4-rings with “handles” forming T6-rings. The T22 unit very much resembles the building unit in LAU. T22 units are connected through T4-rings into chains along c after pure translations along c. Chains are connected along a 6-fold axis to form the tubular Periodic Building Unit (PBU) Umm, must evaluate molecular zeolite structural data on the site more often ;)

Back to air cleaners....... us old folks with our aged ironheads just put a couple of washers under the cleaner cover to lift the edge away from theback plate. The more washers you add, the more air you flow. No drill, no hassle; just more air! Simple? Oh, yes we are!!

Ah, but even though more air got in, was it unfiltered? The way you describe your trick it sounds like you just created a gap that unfiltered air just sneaks past. The OEM Filter is very restrictive, K&N far less, but it still stops chunks of chit entering the Motor while at the same time letting it breath. h.h. |

some interesting spelling on here? seriously why bother if you lift the air filter away yes just creates a gap might as well just take it off so why do we need an air filter any way why not just a gauze to stop the big bits? |
