Re: Tank Emblems - Removal

The badge on my RK is starting to come off on its own. I've only had the bike 12 months and little things are starting to go wrong.

How is the tank badge kept on?

Hal

Re: Tank Emblems - Removal

the emblems are usually stuck on with a double sided foam tape if you ease your emblem off clean the tape off the back of it and pop round to your local crash repair garage I,m sure they will re apply some tape on it for a drink, all the car badges and trims are applied in this way.
Once the new tape is on clean the tank with meths and reapply the badge
Presto ;D ;D

Re: Tank Emblems - Removal

At 150 quid for a replacement pair (according to my dealer), and 2 1/4 hours to remove them, that could be a great career move for somebody. Don't suppose the security chain would fit around the tank badges...
Glad mine are just painted on!

Why not just remove the fuel tank?
