| Not HD, this, but might be of interest to someone with an older bike of whatever make... Took my Commando for an MOT earlier and the tester was getting some strange effects when trying the lights, then when I came to leave I got no ignition light or anything, fortunately it will start and run without battery power so I took it home and looked into the cause. Checked battery, fine. Looked at fuse, fine (only one fuse, for everything, on these). Used meter to check for power at switch, nothing. Checked fuse with meter, fine. Scratched head, thought about break in main power lead. Then I remembered something from years back, something similar; tried new fuse, all working again. A good tug at the fuse, culprit revealed! And, yes, I had tested the fuse for both continuity and voltage throughput.

| Re: Fuse fuss Just to make my day more interesting, I've been working on a Suzuki 1500 Intruder or something (why do they use names like Intruder, Virago, Invader on the softest of bikes?). Owner complained that the back brake wasn't too good; guess why? Cheers, Pete.
