Don't agree
The components are mainly jets, little pipes with small holes to meter the flow and a venturi with some form of air flow valve, basic, usually very uncomplicated and efficient also works very well if the battery is flat or non existent.
Unlike EFI which given it's complexity of electronic and static sensitive components works well until the battery is flat, a wire falls off or you get struck by lightening
