Speedo drive cable rubber boot

When I bought my bike new I determined to stop water getting into the front wheel speedo drive, as it did on my previous Harley, by fitting a boot of some sort. Lo, in a forgotten box I found a magneto cable boot, nice and new, from one of my old Velocettes! It did sterling service for many years, but recently split, so I looked around for a suitable replacement.

Photo shows a boot for the cable connectors on outdoor radio/tv aerial junction boxes. There are cheap ones and supposedly better ones, but none are expensive. This one came with instructions to install using Vaseline. Fits a treat.

I reckon it looks the part!
