Lifter Block Alignment

No alignment tool available?
I use the folowing method, all you need is a SHARP SOFT pencil :-
Snug down the lifter block bolts enough to stop the bolts "wobbling" but slack enough to allow the block to be twisted with moderate force.
Now twist the block clockwise as far as you can and using the pencil make a small line on the crankcase (From the lifter block flange out) in the middle Left to Right (as you look at the lifter block) of the lifter block flange and another that lines up with this one onto the lifter block flange itself (from the crankcase up). Next, twist the block anti-clockwise (again as far as you can) and now mark another line up the lifter block flange INLINE WITH THE PREVIOUS (ORIGIONAL) LINE YOU MADE ON THE CRANKCASE, now simply twist the lifter block clockwise again untill the CRANKCASE MARK/LINE is BETWEEN the two lines made up the LIFTER BLOCK FLANGE, torque up the bolts and and repeat on the other block
Harder to write than to actually do.
