| Cleaning the bike
At the risk of sounding Anal, this is how i clean the bike & the products i use ...may help some of the newbies as i often get asked how i keep it so clean ....& yes i do ride all year 1) Spray the bike with power-washer to remove all the loose dirt 2) Use Doctor Power which is the same as S100 Polishing Soap but half the price (available from Wilkinson’s in yellow tub for £4.99) on all chrome & alloy (Its like a clay with a sponge applicator, its non abrasive and also leaves a wax coating) 3) Rinse off 4) Use CIF (Formally JIF) and the back of an abrasive pad of a dishwashing sponge on Whitewalls (If Applicable) 5) Rinse off 6) Using a good quality product, hot water sponge and shampoo the Paintwork and Chrome then the frame and finally the wheels in that order (Change the sponge if you drop it) 7) Rinse off 8) Blow all the water off with air (I use a Black & Decker leaf blower) 9) Wipe off with a dry cloth 10) If the engine is black and there are chips touch up with Hot Spot or Zeebo fire grate polish 11) Spray engine with S100 engine brightener 12) Apply a good coating of Polish (AutoGlym, Mer or Joff’s) to paint & chrome 13) Polish off with cotton cloth 14) Apply Autoglym Hardglaze to the paintwork & polish off after 40 mins 15) Spray cables & moving parts with Wurth HHS 2000 (High Pressure Cable Lube)
