maybe the wrong area.........but i want to use my satnav on the bike next month in france. i need to adapt a ciggy type lighter to accecpt my 12 v plug in from my satnav. Im thinking of a fused cigarette type adaptor - my question is - where can i get one? i assume it will be ok to split n fit to my optimate line? thx.

How abouut this on fleebay, it plugs into your optimate lead..any good to you Optimate Acumate 12v Weatherproof Accessory Lead on eBay, also Other Motorcycle Accessories, Accessories, Motorcycle Parts Accessories, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 15-Jun-09 12:23:31 BST) |

Could be good - saw this........on the description."please check that your cigarette lighter is live when the ignition is OFF. The accessory plug lead is wired for NEGATIVE EARTH vehicles – if you have a positive earth vehicle it is necessary to rewire the plug accordingly – this is a simple job as screw terminals " - again i assume its a straight switch job? if so thanks im sorted. Presumably just split n wire? im rubbish at electrics as you probably guessed................give me a mech failure anytime.

Got mine from Maplins. They sell Optimate type plugs and the ciggy socket
