For travelling abroad? GB sticker. Also if using toll roads keep some change in a handy pocket/dash pouch/bumbag to save fumbling when you get to the toll booth.

HIVIS many riders don't care, but high visibility vests can be life saving. More and more motorcycle riders in Europe are starting to wear them over their normal motorcycle clothes.

Three serious omissions imho:-

ICE or similar.

Mobile phone.

Breakdown/Recovery docs or membership card with contact details.

You are quite right Phil. I didnt put them on the list simply because they are things that would be pre-requisites to any trip or ride, things you would normally have on you.

Other pre-requisites for a foreign trip would include, letting your insurance company know and preparing the bike for the trip.

You know how it is; if you don't write it down you'll forget it. If you do write it down at least you'll have a record of what you have forgotten.


Can't remember if the list contains this or not but I always take photocopies of my licence, V5, insurance and MOT just in case you have to show them to johnny foreigner.

Don't know if it applies anywhere else, but Spain requires you to carry a spare pair of glasses if you need them for driving/riding.
