| The run to and from the Wallace The Run to the Wallace Rally Stirling Wed 20th. Bike packed and at 1645 set of for Watford to stop over with Basa. Roads were dry and I got a good run round the M25 so got there within three mins of my ETA. Quiet night, few beers great food and fantastic company. (Thanks Helen) Thurs 21st. 0630 Rise and Shine, breakfast and on the road. Met up with Vince at Newport Pagnell at 0800 then on to Junction 28 M1, where we met up with Budgie From the Caledonian club, On to Scotch Corner A1m ( I have missed out the Hail storm and the Heavy rain as I did not want to dampen this part of the story to much) where we picked up a few more and set off over A66 to Penrith. After This it was open roads up to Glasgow and on to Stirling. First Beer 1500 hours. (Spot on Budgie) Thursday – Sunday, All I will say is Fantastic location/Rally and See Rally comments elsewhere. Monday 1000 on The road south with Baza and Baz from Talgarth, open dry roads. We had decided to head for the M6 (Toll) M40 and on south. Which was a good idea because as we pulled in for a fuel stop on the M6 my Big brother pulled in, in is car Heading south for work the following day. Small world. Soon after that Baz turned right for Wales and Me and Baza blazed a trail down the M6 Toll road and the M42, M40 where We split. I then had a clear run round the M25 unto the M23 where it tried to dampen my spirits by raining and being mega busy. I was back in doors by 1800 hrs. Total Distance 970 sMiles. All in all a great run out in good company. I would recommend the Wallace as a rally that should be penned into anyone’s book for next year.
