| High Intensity Rear Fog Lights
My trike went for its MOT today and except for Steve Piper persuading them otherwise it would have failed because it has no rear fog light. Apparently this is a new law and applies to all trikes except 'Q' plates. I have not heard of this before today and have not seen it advertised anywhere - has anybody got any info on this?

Unles it's changed recently, fog lights are optional on motorcycle tricycles but required on heavy trikes.

Thanks Roger that is what I thought, and I don't think that mine tips the scales into heavy, and it passed the original DVLA inspection to be reclassified as a trike. Steve uses the more sympathetic type of biker friendly people for his MOT's and the chap was fairly definate that a high intensity rear light was required and additionally that the hazard lights should still work when the ignition is switched off.
