2012 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
Sporting an extra wheel and a muscular Twin Cam 103 powerplant, the Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra Classic is the ultimate touring machine.
With a luggage capacity of 6.7 cubic feet and rated for 80 pounds of cargo, you can take it with you.
The problem of balancing all this weight, as well as a passenger, is removed, so the long ride across the country can be a relaxing one, especially at stops.
The stump-pulling motor puts out an even 100 ft/lbs of torque at 3250 rpm, so getting underway or passing on the interstate is no problem.
2012 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra Classic Quick Stats:
  • ENGINE TYPE: Pushrod V-twin
  • BORE x STROKE: 3.875" x 4.375"
  • TRANSMISSION: 6-speed
  • WHEELBASE: 66.6 inches
  • RAKE: 26 degrees
  • SEAT HEIGHT: 28.9 inches
  • CURB WEIGHT: 1191 pounds
  • PRICE: $30,499

Can anyone say why they are not available in UK? I have asked at my dealers, and they say "It's summat to do with the brakes I think".

It's strange, as I have seen them for sale in European dealers. (for a large, nay VERY large, pot of cash).

Cheers
Jeb.

In the main we don't get all the range available in the USA, although occasionally we get models they don't get there, such as the 883R. So it may simply be they don't think there is enough demand for them, even possible they don't comply with vehicle regulations here in some way, such as brakes.

I really think BaZa should stop torturing himself with these posts!

Saw one in the States last year for $30k and was thinking of importing one.

On my return to UK spoke to HD why not in UK and was told apart from emissions having to be sorted out for UK, the distance between the rear wheels doesn't conform to UK rules.

Don't know how true this is?
