| Deuce Suspension
Big concern... I had the exhaust pipes off the Deuce and notice that the twin shock had corroded cases... my concern is that the bolt at the rear of the suspension is loose to the extent I can freely move the washer. I dont want to tighten this because in may put unwanted pressure of the shocks and move the inwards... should this bolt be tight and if so is there a torque for it.. My immediate thought is tighten up, but on reflection I need advice... Thanks

115-130 ft lbs and blue Loctite if it's the same as other Softails.

| Re: Deuce Suspension Thanks Jake, beyond the scope of my torque wrench, will have to book it in to the dealer....

Having the manual in front of me now, instead of just the list of torque values, it actually says you need a special tool (Snap-On SRES24) to gain access to the shock bolt, so I guess you would need a dealer or Indy who holds that anyway (or could it be available on the Club's hire scheme?). If you believe the forums, it's possible without the tool, but who knows... ![]() You would have to recalculate the torque dependent on the angle of the adapter.
