Chroming/Polishing of Wheels

Stock wheels on my FLSTFi are looking a bit shabby and I'm looking at having them chromed or polished. Any recommendations as to who may offer this service. Bear in mind that I am from the Maggar School of Mechanic Artistry, so whoever does it will have to remove the wheels from the bike, do the chroming/polishing and re-fit.
Ta.

Chroming will cost you a FORTUNE

Look in the yellow pages for metal polishers

Or DIY with a Cetem kit as advertised in BSH.

I just bought one on the recommendation of DantheMan and damn, it is so good and you dont have to wait weeks for your bits...

Re: Chroming/Polishing of Wheels

Greetings from the frozen north! I've had lots of stuff polished over the years at Quality Chrome just across the water in Hull - call Karl on 01482 589838 .. top job. I can't see those solid wheels bearing up very well to the chroming process though .. have a chat with Karl, but you'd be better off taking them off yourself then letting him have a look at them, he's honest enough to tell you whether he can do them or not. Another much more practical alternative to chrome or polishing would be powder coating. Go along to CJ Powdercoating in Humberston or give them a bell on 01472 211222 & ask for Les, they have some real nice colours & finishes in there .. I've had frames & wheels done there before with perfect results ..;)

Can also highly reccommend the CETEM kit, when you use it make sure that you borrow your mate's electric drill so as not to not bugger your own, also make sure that you hold onto any small parts that you polish as the mop will snatch and through it faster and harder than a mad woman and her shit! Make sure you wear goggles and no flowing katans as there aint much worse than being wound up in a polishing mop.
