help needed fast

Well got my softail today with the drag bars fitted and enjoyed the ride,a few months ago i would have denied that i would ever want to own a Harley as they dont handle and perform like my blackbird but i am man enough to admit when i am wrong. It was a different ride and i must admit to enjoying what my wife calls a propper looking bike. In the real world it is more than fast enough for todays roads. I have been invited for a ride out with some members of the local chapter who i met at the dealership so all is looking good.Thanks again for the advice that i was given in the forum and now i just have to wait two whole days before i can go outfor a ride again although the rest of the street will not appreciate the noise it makes when i go out at 7.30 am.

Hope you are not mixing us up with HOG ! Those guys tend to hang out at the dealerships all psuedo patched up with creaky leathers .

Glad you got your bike,i got my leathr gear from http://www.jtsbikerclothing.com/ half the price of the Harley gear and just as good,in fact some harley dealers sell JTS gear and have a huge mark up on it.They have a shop in Coalville Liecs or do mail order,i went up to the shop last week and got kitted out with some gear,nice trip from Hertfordshire.

Enjoy your Harley,i am relatively new myself,just coming up to 12 months now and i love it.....roll on the summer.

Rich, you are right - it is different - not better or worse, just different! I hope you and your ride have a long & happy relationship. Don't forget to check out the Rider's Club meet nearest to you - guaranteed source of new mates and good times.

Where all totally mad but you must have also started as you just bought a Softail ( good choice I must say ) I have been riding one for four years.
It will be back taking in the miles soon its having a few minor alterations .

Thanks for the tip about JTS i went there as only 25 miles from home and wife got kitted out with some new leathers as she refuses to wear her sports bike leathers on Harley, good kit at decent prices. Now have to find pair of redwing boots style 1670 as she is driving me mad, all dealers say they cant get them but UK agent says can deliver to dealer of my choice but so far has failed to do so. I fancy weekends away but misses prefer B&B with en suite, I took her camping at the Northwest 200 and her and a canvass roof dont mix and as i am under the thumb she wouldn't let me go alone.
