Protection ideas for Fatboy wheels please?

Hi All, I am hoping you guys can give me some advice on helping to keep Fatboy wheels protected from corrosion, brake dust etc.?

I have heard people say about coating them with various products. Do they really work? If so, which ones and where can they be bought?

You will hear all kinds of home spun remedies about using rattle cans & clear coat etc, which work ok, but the best protection is a clear powder coat. Last forever.

I take it this means wheels off and taken to a professional?

Any idea of costs?

Wheels off & stripped, I can tell you an approx cost here bout $100.00 each, dunno over there, do some calling round.
