| Re: Advice running in Twin Cam Street Bob?
Hi John, if in doubt as to what maximum speeds in each gear,it shows a small table in your owners manual with that info. It gives you a max. speed for each gear as a guide for those first critical 500mls. The main things have all been covered by previous posts, but the main thing is never to labour your engine by being in too high a gear for the revs. this puts stress on yer motor, an yae don't want that M8;) Then follow yer sensible instinct and enjoy Wacko |

Thanks all. Now upto 400 + miles and will change the oil at 500. The oil itself is still looking brand new at this point. Hardly discoloured at all. Gave it a long run to the Dorking Autojumble on Sunday. Bike enjoyed the ride - sounded really on song after it had fully warmed up, different exhaust note, although I was bloody freezing! Yes Sue I am keeping it clean - thanks for your efforts! Still have yet to see another Street Bob on the road or at an event. Does anyone else own one? A lot of bike for the money that's for sure. By the way BaZa, I've been a member of the riders club for a couple of years now. Sold the 1200 Sportie a couple of weeks ago on ebay. Thanks again John T
