Got to agree. Similar problems can just as easily show up on a Heritage if you tyres are dodgy ... condition and/or pressures. I find a particular problem down hill if my rear tyre is set too soft.

Micey

Tyre pressure obvious but start there.

Avon venoms are a great tyre. been using them for as long as i can remember

just get a slightly heavier oil in the front forks and then decide if you need heavier dampening after that.

The fatty is a good bike and will give you many years enjoyment. have had mine for last 9 years, don't fancy downgrading to a twin cam though.

Re: Fatboy Wobble

Took my Fatboy down to Westward Ho last weekend and reaaly suffered from the cross winds, first time it's been so bad. But this is also the first time I pumped up the tyres to the HD reccommendations.

What pressures are you guys using in Venoms?

I put 36 psi front and rear solo, and 36 front 40 rear two up

Re: Fatboy Wobble

Ride Motocross for a while you wont notice anything wrong then.

Seriously I have never had a problem with my Fatboy with wind, tyre's or anything else. In high winds and rough roads she moves about a bit but nothing that ever made me feel uncomfortable. Maybe 20 years of off-road riding does make a difference.

Re: Fatboy Wobble

Try the Metzeler Sportec M-1 tyre on the front great tyre and have your wheel alignment checked

Re: Fatboy Wobble

Speaking from experience, changing from the OE Dunlops to Venoms makes a massive difference to the handling.

Crosswinds are a real pain, especially on motorways.

I've yet to change the springs, that'll happen this winter, along with a spokey front wheel.

Hang on tight.

Re: Fatboy Wobble

Go with what Phill suggests Matey before dishing out cash on progressives.
Quick Note :::
It won't prevent you getting thrown all over the road in high winds though.
