reflash or fuelpak

is the dealer reflash any use? i was thinking about the v&h fuelpak, but the only mods i will make will probably be the pipes and air cleaner, and then it will be kept as that. cant do too much, its on finance!
will the fuel pak be wasting my money and the reflash be good enough, or should i stop being tight and spend the extra on the fuelpak but not use it again.

The reflash works fine, AS LONG AS that is all you are going to do. The Fuelpak works fine too. Considering what you lot are telling me about the dealers there, I would consider the warranty implications of the fuelpak

Re: reflash or fuelpak

so if i change the air cleaner and pipes, a reflash is fine. does it matter on the pipes i use or do they have to be HD ones?
i take it i can put a fuelpak on at a later date if i have the reflash?

If you change the air cleaner & pipes the re-flash is fine. The pipes should not matter too much as long as they are not too free flowing.
Put the fuelpak on any time you like.

Re: reflash or fuelpak

just got told by the local dealer that they no longer do reflash, they only use V&H fuelpak. they said the SE chip is no longer available.
thing is they are only charging £205 for the fuelpak if i fit it, this is £30 cheaper than the next cheapest from an indie!
cant believe a dealer is cheaper!

Now if you knew someone with a RT and the hack for it you'd be well flash (ed).

Listen, if I knew how to hack the RT dongle, I`d be typing this on the beach in Tahiti outside my Villa. .

How odd. Go for it, make sure they will cover all warranty issues though.
They are full of it on the Flash issue though, still available, same part in the UK as here.
