Another Oil filter question

ANyone any idea who produces an oil filter replacement that uses paper filaments and a permanent canister. Thats the best description I can come up with.

Essentially I want to save a few Penguins by just changing a paper element at an oil change and not the whole chrome shabang.

Re: Another Oil filter question

For the sake of £10-£12 I would not bother trying to save a few quid every 5k.

Change oil every 2.5k and filter at 5k. The H-D will last longer being looked after.

Re: Another Oil filter question

a chrome spin on filter from zodiac is only £8, you wont save a great deal by going the replaceable element way.
and i couldnt find them in the books anyway so i dont know where you would get them from.

Re: Another Oil filter question

... and the really funny (and completely unsurprising thing in Harley land) is that the replaceable element costs more than a brand new chrome filter..

Ahh yes, but the replaceable filter element is more environmently friendly. You're paying to protect the planet.

I know this because it says so on the HD web site so it must be true.

Think of the trees...
