Question Saddle Bag Support thingies

Has anyone any ideas on where I can get saddlebag supports for an 06 Streetbob, with pillion, sissy bar, and a rack. I have some bags that are small enough not to get in the way of anything. But when I look for supports I am informed that I have to get an indicator relocation kit. I guess the thing is I do not really want to do that, because I like the indicators where they are, and its expensive. I have seen zodiac supports that fit onto the side bar and top of the shocker, but they do not fit my bike. Why the hell not??????????

I have trouble understanding the Harley Catalouge and again the talk about moving effing indicators. Why is it so hard to just get a little metal bit to stop my bags going into the wheels (or is it???)

Has anyone any idea how I can overcome this, and no I would not be able to make them myself. Not sure my wife would let me loose with anything like a welding thingy

Please you luvley harley people there must be something I can do that costs less than fifty squid

Call at the shop and we will help sort out what will/won't fit. We close all day Wednesday.

The reason for relocating the indicators is to allow you to fit bags of a reasonable size i.e. when measured along the length of the bike. If using modestly sized throwover bags you can get away without relocating indicators, as long as you are prepared for the bag to be possibly rubbing against the indicator.

The most economical and straightforward support to fit is one like this, which is made for easy on/off occasional use and does not require indicator relocation.

If you know some one who's handy with a welder you can get them to knock you something like this up, then get it powder coated.. Combined backrest, rack & saddlebag supports.

This is purely a functional tool for use for rallys etc... Comes on & off in 5 minutes.

Bolts on using the two seat bolt holes & one either side of the fender support struts.

Re: Saddle Bag Support thingies

Thanks guys and gals, I thought the bags would be ok without relocating the indicators, as i only got small bags. Thats because Bears customs in Rhuthin (Wales) sold me a cool T-bag and top role to go on the rack. I suppose if my lovely lady would be happy living in the same clothes for say 3 days, we could do a few gigs with just the T-bags. Will keep trying. By the way what happens if the bags do touch the wheels

No, It's an 1975 SFC 750. I have owned 2 Monty's in the past, sold the last one just after xmas + A 1980 180 Jota, A 1984 120 RGS Corsa & a 1970 SF 750. Still love the old Laverdas.

Here's a better pic.
