Harley Softail '00-'06 KURYAKYN Chrome Swingarm Covers

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the '00-'06 KURYAKYN Chrome Swingarm Cover kit P/N 8256
will fit a 07 fatboy. My Fatboy has the Big Radius exhaust so there is plenty of room on the right of the swingarm and no obstruction on the rear axel bolt.I have asked a couple of supliers and they said they should fit as long as i have taken the standard exhaust off.
Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks Jono

hi jono
Can't think of any reason why they won't fit a 2007 model.

Give me a call tomorrow to remind me and I'll call Kuryakyn tech to 100% sure

Hi Jono,

The answer is that they don't fit, but you can make them fit. The drive side cover fits OK but Harley have changed the design of the brake caliper mount on the brake side in 07. This bracket is now in the way of part of the cover. We just cut the offending part off the cover and seal the cut edge with a bit of paint. You can't see the cut bit, cos the caliper bracket gets in the way.
