Red face Help with 'Rear shock absorber assembly'

As usual I was in a rush to disassemble the rear shock absorbers
& swinging arm without taking much notice of part locations,
hence my plea for help, the link below shows a pic
(sorry for the poor quality) of components that are fitted to
the end of swinging arm. I have labelled them to help with any
assistance,

Note that ‘Fig A’ is handed and ‘Fig A1’ is countersunk,
now to the my query, I cannot figure out how ‘Fig A’
is fitted back together, I know that ‘Fig B’ slides into the
back end of the swinging arm where in turn the wheel shaft
locates thru the eye for the purposes of belt adjustment &
‘Fig C’ locates within ‘Fig A1’ but I am unable to identify
how these parts are precisely located in relation to the end
of the swinging arm and what purpose they serve, my work shop
manual shows no details of this assembly, so guys once again
I need your help please.

Re: Help with 'Rear shock absorber assembly'

What you are showing is a lowering kit (parts A and C) so there will be no mention of them in the Workshop manual.

The part A is bolted to the swingarm shock pivot and moves the shock further towards the back of the motorcycle. You do not have to use this kit but if you leave it out be sure that the front end hasn't been lowered at the same time. If you do require the back end to be lower it is better to use a set of low profile shocks.

Thank you girlyglide for your quick response, what you are stating makes sense, as the previous owner lowered the bike due to being not very tall.

But without sounding a complete noob, what bolt secures the bottom eye of the rear shocker to 'Fig A' is it 'Fig C' or 'Fig D'
[the small hexagonal bolt' ?

If for example its 'Fig C' then the other bolt presumably fixes 'Fig D' to the existing female nut originally welded to the stock swinging arm where the bottom eye of the rear shocker was originally fixed before this modification was undertaken by the previous owner?

Please clarify, and thanks again for your kind help
