Brilliant! The rider is obviously Stig's twin brother....

Cool Re: the fxdx project

Simon,

Just read this comment on a US forum by a rider who has just done his first visit to a drag strip: "Powercommander Quick Shift to make clutchless shifts- it is awesome!!"

Don't know if you have any plans for such a thing (ice permitting....)?

Re: the fxdx project

I looked at these a while ago Graham. I think Dynatek do something similar. The simple answer is no, I wont be using one. There are various classes on the Supertwins scheme and shifters and a whole bunch of other mods such as nitrous are not permitted in the street class.

Apart from 1st-2nd, I use a clutchless change anyway. I put pressure on the change lever, wait for the shift light to come on and just ease off full throttle for a split second.

All I will be doing to the bike this year is changing the rear sprocket from a 47t to 51t and getting a wider and stickier rear tyre. There are lots of other things I could do but circumstance is not helping.

The goal for the FXDX this year, is to run under 12 seconds at Bulldog...along with move house in the next few weeks, sort youngest lads school out, sort new bungalow out, get sorted in Ross on Wye etc, etc. Going to be very busy for a while yet but will try and get something tangible to post to update this thread before easter.

Re: the fxdx project

Which day/s would you be attempting that at Bulldog? I'd like to see that.

Well I might just pencil that in Simon, see how the land lies at the time, might talk Matt FXDX into going too, he's always up for the Bulldog.

I have heard it running, but can't actually recall it at the moment, duh! Wonder what sort of time a standard GSXR would do down the strip?
