Quarts n Pints

This is a general query really but I just wondered if anybody knows where I can get hold of some suitably marked vessels for measuring out my new synthetic oils I'd like to get some little pouring jugs that have quarts etc marked on the side, I've tried finding them myself but no joy at the moment. Any ideas?

I use pouring measuring jugs from Asda like the pyrex ones and convert the amount to fluid ounces and mark the sides.

Yeah - I know you can do that, I just wanted to know if there were any out there with the correct markings on

Re: Quarts n Pints

Be careful, and remember that US Quarts and Pints are not the same as ours.
Every US pint has only 16 fluid ounces, whereas ours have 20, so an American quart is only 32 ounces, or just over 1 1/2 pints, which is why their gallons are smaller too....

Most Harley oils come in bottles with graded marks on the side. You can cut the top off, and use the remains as a measuring 'jug'

Re: Quarts n Pints

Due to difference between IMP. and US. measures I tend to prefer sticking with metric. As a rough rule of thumb 4Lts = 1 US. gallon.
