Mine (fitted by Stratstone stealership) just appears to hang free. Bike runs great had a engine light come on a couple of months ago and Chester HD seemed to put it right. Not sure why i mentioned that, only when the light came on was when I noticed that the connector your talking about post stage one is not connected to anything

Re: Street Bob Stage 1

Interesting. When I spoke to a stealership about what they do when fitting a stage 1, they said they take the solenoid from the stock airfilter out and refit it to the active intake connector. Not sure if this would give the impression of not having anything fitted, however [Marcus] they have clearly done something if your engine light does not come on during low revs, maybe there is a tweak in the ECM. Unless Chester just fitted a eliminator.

The solenoid method the stealership told me about is a choice. However, as I wanted to keep all the standard bits in tact, so fitted the eliminator as in my previous thread. Seemed a simple cost effective fix and it certainly worked.

Peter, hope you get your ring sorted - knew halfords were handy ..

Re: Street Bob Stage 1

Have 06 Street Bob with the non standard air filter.. Have had both the eliminators from v-twin mania (great people and I recommend the thoroughly) but they don't do it for my bob..
Don't want to mess with the standard filter as I may need it later.. so any other ideas as to how to get rid of error light..

Re: Street Bob Stage 1

The error code you're getting transaltes into something like 'open or short circuit on air intake solenoid'. You need an 18 ohm, 25W resistor across the wires to compensate for the missing solenoid.
