Street Bob Stage 1

Just fitting a screaming eagle stage 1 to my 06 street bob. What happens to the electrical connector that used to connect to the old air filter housing? Do I just tape it up as the instuctions aren't that clear?

Re: Street Bob Stage 1

The only thing the instructions say is the ECM must be reprogramed. I'm also going to fit a V&H fuelpack,so would that not overcome the problem?

Re: Street Bob Stage 1

Hi - just fitted a V & H Fuelpak to my 07 Bob, with V & H HS Slip-ons and the K & N hi-flo set up.
Where you dis-connect the air filter connector plug fit an adaptor and I used a cable tie to secure it at the back of the new air filter housing out of site. It didn't interfere with the throttle and idle cables and it is pretty much invisible.
The adaptor stops an error fault coming up, like the other gent said before.
The adaptor thingy was about £13 from V-Twin Mania in Scotland.
It's fairly small. I don't think the Fuelpak alone will rid you of the error code.
Hope this is of help
I am sure some of the dealers within the club can supply one.

Re: Street Bob Stage 1

Hi Peter
Have you bought the V&H fuelpak yet? If not consider something more tuneable. Recently bought an 06 wide glide with V&H fuelpak, V&H slip-ons and K&N hiflow but is running rich and coughs when accelerating hard. Problem is the list of numbers for the settings from V&H don't tie up to anything specific (like this number alters fuel etc).
I am going to get something like a revtech which my garage says is very tuneable and much better for anything I want to do in the future.

I ordered the part yesterday morning and it turned up today. It looks correct so hopefully the answer to your question is YES!

Re: Street Bob Stage 1

Peter

Hopefully your all fixed now.

The symptons I noticed were my engine light came on during low revs (either going up or coming down) only then went off at high revs. Fitting an actve air intake eliminator (i.e. V-Twin Mania - Genuine Harley Davidson parts and accessories, Kuryakyn, Vance & Hines, Custom Chrome, Zodiac and many more...) fixes the prob.

Happy riding

Roy
