| Error code P1108 on 06 Dyna
Yesterday my Dyna Superglide Custom cut out at traffic lights. The engine management light had been on for a few miles but bike seemed to be running ok. It wouldn't restart straight away but then after 10 mins or so it did. It then only coughed and spluttered and ticked over, when you tried to give it any throttle it died. Had to get trailered home. We checked the error codes after looking on this forum to see how to do it (thanks guys!) and were getting code P1108 with Pn 32920-05. We cleared the codes, the bike started and I've just gone round the block. The EM light came back on again and code P1108 is back again. Bike now won't restart. Any suggestions greatfully received!!

B*GGER!!!!! Just been told the code was written down wrong... it was P0118 !!! So... that code is in the list and reads as "ET Sensor Voltage Open/High EFI" with the ET bit meaning "Engine Temperature Sensor" So we now know what the code is, but can anyone advise what it means and what part needs replacing etc? Apologies for the confusion!!

Convert it to a carb and junk that EFI crap, those things run way to hot at the best of times. Just by putting a carb on it you get rid of 9 pieces of injection crap that can go wrong. |

I agree with the carb conversion line but it costs a lot of bucks & some people don't want to/can't afford to go down that road. Besides there ain't no fun in just being able to fix it straight away

Just for the record, in case it helps anyone else in the future, the problem did turn out to be the Engine Temperature Sensor. Now fixed and I pick it up on Saturday

All you old people bumping your gums about EFI, turn off that Englebert Humerdink gramophone disc and move into the 21st century Grandad..... I have no issues with my 2004 EFI, its adjusted by a Power Commander, starts first touch of the button on any day of the year.

Its just us old folks wanting to work with old technology........ My 2000 FXDX was popping and banging when I shut down, so I turned the mixture screw out half a turn and it's cured no laptops, no fault codes, just good old fashioned 'tweaking'.Its like the modern cars, I lift the bonnet and there's just nothing in there I recognise ![]() Now keep the noise down while I listen to the Light Programme on my wireless ![]() Kev

Hello I am getting error code 61121 on my streetbob. I looked this up on google and found it to be a problem with the right hand indicator output. So, had a look at what the indicators were doing ... * when I put on the right hand indicator, both indicators flash (left and right). * when I put on the left hand indicator, only the left flashes however the cleared 61121 code comes back (signified by the red security key light coming on). Stuff I have done to my bike includes - changing the front indicators for some doss front indicators (bulb) and some kellerman micro rears (bulb). Probably answering my own question here, however the indicator flasher on the dash does seem to flash a bit quicker than with standard bulb indicators, do you think I could just need to fit a LE? If so, I do have a couple of LEs kicking around the garage, the usual type with 3 wires (2 lives and an earth) - do you cut the indicator wire and effectively put the LE in line or can you use one LE for 2 indicators? Cheers, Roy |
