Brake Pad Replacement

I want to replace the brake pads on my '05 FXSTBi and I just tried removing the 'Pad Holding Pins' but I don't seem to be able to get the right socket size. Anyone know what size they are?

Ahhh That'll be what the bugger is then I thought that it was a bihex socket of a special size. Where the hell can I get Torx socket from?

Cheers for the info though - bloody quick answer as well.

Re: Brake Pad Replacement

Hi Tee, it should be a 12 point 1/4" if it's a stock fastener.

Re: Brake Pad Replacement

Cheers BaZa - that's just what I need. Something you have to get from a specialist. It'll probably have to wait now and I wanted to change the pads and discs for some EBC ones, oh well, like I said it'll have to wait 'til I get one of these little doodies.

Cheers anyway

Re: Brake Pad Replacement

Its well worth trying any little independant tool shops you might have locally, I was able to get the 1/4 inch 12 point individually for £3.00.
