1999 FLHR When I got it from first owner it had: 27934-99 CV44 carb 29635-99 Manifold (required for above carb) SE Air filter 64926-99 Muffler,Slash Up x2 ![]() He said the bigger carb cured the "fluttering" that people blamed on carb icing. My thoughts were yeah, sure, they had one on the shelf and knew you'd stand for it.This bike had been nowhere near cold and damp. ![]() I thought it would be over clubbed but it runs clean round town and pulls well on the open road.It may be better, worse,or the same as with standard carb,I couldn't say. In the 1999/2000 Acc Catalogue it gives the carb and manifold as options for the 88TC but no mention of the mufflers. The part num is on them with racing only etc and I found the number on a database so it's still good. Any thoughts? |

| Re: What Stage/Tune?
Dave, If you are happy with it and not keen to change it just for sake of it, find a dyno to get it set up properly. It might run like a freight train, or have problems that are unsolvable, but you will then be better placed to know what to do. ![]() In the past I have had a Harley with a carb that, when pushed, was not man enough and replaced it with another that was too big!
