Haven't noticed fuel consumption going too mad with them on, it may be a bit higher due to being able to travel at higher speeds due to being more comfortable.
I bet you would'nt use them if you had low profile drag bars though, or would you

I know that feeling.
I love the look of the Streetglide but when I rode one I was stuck at 45mph cos my eyeballs were vibrating in their sockets.
I don't bother at all now.
Probably woudn't suit my Fatbob anyway.

There are a whole lot of bugs down there and a screen will protect you from them!! Every now and then a massive one will splat all over the screen, god knows how much that would hurt if it hit you in the face, I did have one hit me on the thumb once and that throbbed for an hour or two!!

I for one would highly recommend using one!!

We’re going down to Italy (three bikes) we’re booked on the 10.45 train on Saturday the 19th Dover Calais we're heading to Napoly, when and where are you heading?
Just thinking the 19th is a Friday, Id check your booking mate

That's odd Gary I have a 2008 Street Glide with the standard screen on and I am rarely hit by bugs (I'm 6ft) and ride at whatever speed I like (cruise control on at 90 yesterday for 45 minutes up the A1 and I could still hear the stereo). Maybe you rode a bad'un?
