To FDX or not FDX, that is the question

I know you, learned readers, are fonts of all Harley-related knowledge, so rather than ponder this anymore, I thought I'd put the question to you.

I have the chance of picking up a 2005 Dyna Glide 1450 with barely 1100 miles on it. FSH, stage 1, forwards, detachable leather saddle bags, never seen rain, bla de bla de bla, for £7000. All extra shiny bits (wheels, rotor, pegs & grips) and low-rider seat are Harley's own.

Should I, or not?

Baff

Nah - spend some of the money doing up your current ride. Its a one-off with bags of potential. FDX "out of the box" is a herd machine.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time, nor dosh, to get it up to where I want it to be, so after a wee bit of engine work and a re-spray this month, and some hours of polishing, Monster's going to be for sale.

I thought the Dyna would give me a few month's riding this year before (possibly) some tweaking over winter. The one thing everyone seems to agree upon is the potential it has for being customised.

It won't handle as well as your FXR, but I suspect starting wise it will be a whole lot better

You can always tune them up abit and release the horses

Go for it Baff..........

I know your Monster is an awesome ride but once you start looking at another bike, you're already halfway to a swap.

Good luck with the Dyna
