I've been running a Mikuni for four years now, summer and winter - never had it ice yet.

My Wide Glide used to suffer from carb icing something chronic. I swapped to a Mikuni HSR 42 and it stopped icing completely but it did used a fair bit more fuel.
Worth it for the extra snap to the throttle response.
