Crinkly black finish

Hi guys
you know that crinkly black finish our beloved moco enjoys placing upobn certain areas of the engine cases, well has anyone got any magic potions for cleaning it.
My 2 year old Road King is looking a bit grey in thoes areas and i do like a nice clean sharp black rather than grey.
Also i dont want to use thoes quick last a week fixes like wd40 or oil

TIA

S 100 Engine Brightner is good but not cheap, but lasts longer than WD 40.

S100 engine brightener is very good and stocked by most HD parts desks.

At £9-99 from our local dealer,S100 is a trifle expensive, so maybe the 'one week fix' aint so bad after all...I use Aldi type 'back 2 black' Hog Maniac gave my bike a quick squit of Turtle Wax 'black in a flash' from Asda, less than 2 quid, done a good job too, 5 cans for less price than 1 S100..seems like a deal to me...

I've been told that Pledge or similar furniture polish works, and leaves it smelling of lemons.... Try a hidden area first, just in case.

Always open to cheaper suggestions if they do exactly or a better job, but in my opinion nothing works as well as S100.

Strange that coz I've got a 3 year old Nightrain and S100 works a treat on it. I wash the bike, let it dry, and then give a liberal spraying of the stuff to the engine mainly but other parts if it's needed. I have been asked how I keep it looking so new as well, & I don't clean it that often. Watch out for the 'crinkly' stuff peeling though - it's started on mine already I do have some HD 'crinkly' paint though so I'll be sorting it this winter.
I do like to hear about cheaper alternatives though so I'm going to try a few of the suggestions on here - you never know one of them might just work for me and save some valuable Guinness tokens
