Do the forwards you bought include a built in master cylinder for the rear brake as part of the brake setup?

Cheers,
Rob.

Re: forward fitting

I also wanted some for my Street Bob, but couldn't stomach the £500 ish price.

I hope the ones you've bought fit. Sorry I can't offer more help.

Personally I went for the poor route, and got highway pegs.

500 Quid!

What were they gold plated?

Seriously you should be able to get some for a lot less than that...

They won't be a straightforward fit. The mounting points for the forwards on a Streetbob are significantly different to a Fatboy.

Re: forward fitting

Any joy with the controls?

IIRC, the primary cover has to come off, and I believe the forwards are pretty specific to the Street Bob. (Good choice BTW). - and yes, I was under the impression that they were around the £500 mark. - from H-D.

The controls should be around the £250 to £275 range so I guess the price of around £500 included fitting ? Fitting is not a quick job as the whole primary drive needs to come off.

Only if you want to remove the original shifter shaft which you don't need to do.

As an example Kuryakyn do a kit that includes a clip to hold the old shifter arm still.

That way the removal of the primary can be left until it needs to be done and it's a lot easier to fit the forwards.

I've fitted a Dyna floorboard kit to my FXDX. It also came with a clip to hold the old mid mounted gear changer. (two clips actually - 1 for evo and other for twin cam). See pictures:-

It looked ugly to me, so I removed the inner primary cover and plugged the hole with a bolt, nut and dowty seals.

As for forward controls - I've got duck's disease! (my ar@e is too close to the ground)
