Numptie question

Hello
I have a hire bike while mine is off the road.
I have an 07 Bobber and it seems a bit wallowing on corners.
Can anyone tell me what the tyre pressures should be please? I am assuming they are different to my sportie?
Thanks Everso
Bexx

Re: Numptie question

normally they need the suspension stiffening up a bit so the bike rides a bit firmer, as yours is a hire bike you are limited to adjusting the rear shocks unless you can charm them into putting some heavy fork on in the front - tell them you it hard firm and fast

Thanks guys - I realise that I am 'just a bird' and my technical knowledge and understanding is miniscule, but I thought that at least one of you would be able to give me a straight answer to a straight question.

Re: Numptie question

Hi Bexx;
the_monster wasn't being (entirely) facetious when he posted - once you've set the tyre pressure as per choppers advice, if it still wallows then you need to look at the suspension settings. There, avoided all the obvious smirky asides, not like me at all...
Cheers,
Pete

Re: Numptie question

Bexx was right about tyre pressures.
front was only 15 p.s.i.
Also i know the h/bars are rubber mounted but surly they shouldn't move back an forth on the mounts
How much movement is correct?.
