My stand has worked out the same as that Rivco one. The Rivco is probably the one to go for if you don't want any hassle. Never mind, mine's done now and works fine. Brian.

Thanks for the info Brian, all usefull stuff. Seems very odd that no one in US has had one fall off considering all the brands of tyres that get used. Maybe the beer cooler in the tourpack acts as a counter balance. |

I found this with a quick search of the forums. I'm glad it's not just me who's had problems. Read posts 10 & 11. wheel dock easy up center stand users??? - Harley Davidson Forums Brian.

| Re: Road King centre stand
Its interesting to see how things have changed. Back in the mid-70s I came across a Glide with a centre stand, which was a factory option. It was held up with clips when not in use and was a real swine to use. Having bought my current bike I bought a factory 'display stand' for it, which fits in front of the engine and folds up under the rider's footboards. It is very wide and stable, but doesn't lift the wheel off the ground. I have never seen another! I would only trust it on level ground, but it is parked on it as I write. Mounted where it is it leaves the 'dogbone' under the gearbox free for installing a third stabilizer.
