Re: Key Fobs and alarms

The ones for mine are the large button/coin batteries you can get out of Boots, etc. Panasonic 2032 Later models could well be different, and yes, I carry one on the bike....
Plenty of places to stash one safely.

Re: Key Fobs and alarms

The important bit is 2032 just about every manufacturer of batteries make them..
Banquo is right though check your battery is the same number..
I have 50 odd of them at home but then I work a lot with PCs
I always have a spare in my wallet

Re: Key Fobs and alarms

Hi
I don't know if this will help..... but I have 2008 Sportster with keyless fob. THe other Sunday afternoon the alarm sounded for no apparant reason, tried both fobs but it would not silence. The strange thing was that the bike would still start which indicated that the immobiliser was not activated....
So I located the siren and pulled the plug out, the plug was full of water and green!
The siren kept going because it is self powered, after a good clean up and a grease I refitted the plug and after a minute or so the siren stopped.
My bike has done 700 miles and has never seen rain.
I wonder ?...... have a look.
Regards
Mortster

Re: Key Fobs and alarms

Thanks for the advice which has made me realise that I do not and have never been given a code for manual overide. I will mchase for this today.

I went to Currys last night and paid about £6 for two batteries and I am now back in business

Wasn't life much simpler with a key and a choke!
