| Engine light
Have noticed the last couple of times out on the bike, when ever I give the throttle a good hand-full the engine light comes on, and when I let the rev's die back it will go out after a few seconds. When I got back I ran a diagnostic trouble code check, and it came up with the following code, (P1356 Rear Cylinder No Combustion). The bike certainly didn't feel or sound as if it were missing, or running on only one cylinder. Other than the light coming on it seemed to be running as sweet as a nut. Would be grateful for any advice regarding next steps in getting it sorted, other than a trip to the stealer's. Or if anyone has had similar problems. |

I think somebody on here said that exact problem was associated with bad plugs, and specifically using NGK instead of Harley's own, causing the appearance of a misfire....

Something similar once happened to me when out for a run, did'nt know the stuff about retreving the codes at the time, a trip to the dealers and a plug into the computer failed to sort it so i got it home and had a tinker..........loose spark plug .

Have checked the plugs, "Harley Screamin Eagles" running a touch on the lean side perhaps but certainly not been missing.

I had the same thing on my 2004 road king . It happend about ten times over a 2 week period until I eventually traced it to the cap being loose on the top of the spark plug. It just needed niping up with some pliers and it stopped the light and fault code coming on.

Like the others have said, that is a very common code usually due under those conditions due to a loose plug or plug wire. By taking the plug out & reseating the lead you may very well have fixed it.
