Re: active exhaust valve

Not sure if this helps you, but I am having mine wired open this week and something fitted to let the ecu think it is still working, I think that's what the guy said.
I can let you know the outcome if you like, it is being sorted this Thursday.

I guess you cant just wire it open as the job is costing around £80.

Think your £80 is mainly for kit to stop the ECU showing faults for the valve and to perhaps hold it open.

Re: active exhaust valve

Just thought I would tell you what happened anyway ;o)

I have Krome Werks slipons already.

Cost was £60 finished in the end. Part was £18 + vat. The Valve was wired open and disconnected in the air filter and the signal eliminator fitted.

Has a much better roar when you are on it now, and seems much more responsive. I had a great ride home, so I am well glad I had it done.. saving for the stage one fuel pak and filter next... I guess I could of fitted the eliminator myself and wired the valve shut but I would of wired it closed ;o) as I thought it worked the other way round Derrrr a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
