Wheel sizes

Anyone know where I can find out the exact size for the rear wheel on my '99 FXDX Superglide Sport? The tyre's a 130/16 but I've no idea if the rim's 3.00, 3.50 or what.

Re: Wheel sizes

Didn't know they ever had solid wheels on 'em (unless by "solid" you mean it's in good nick )

If it's a good 'un, I'm interested. Any chance you could sling a pic or two up?

Re: Wheel sizes

Just been informed it is in the roof, not the garage. I will be going up there in the next couple of days. I'll get some pictures when I'm up there.

It is the solid cast one with a chrome strip around the rim. I did have two but got rid of one. One was good the other was "functional". Not sure which one it is but have a feeling it is the "functional" one. There were a few marks on the chrome strip if I remember correctly.

PM me your email address and I'll send you some pictures by the end of the week.

Re: Wheel sizes

Sorry if I'm being dim, but I'm assuming this will go straight in even though my bike has the spoked wheels as standard?

Re: Wheel sizes

If yours is a genuine 1999 model, then yes.

The bearings changed and the brake rotor and pulley are different sizes up to and including 1999. 2000 onwards was when the FXDX became a true Twin Cam and didnt consist of Evo running gear.

Re: Wheel sizes

Yep, it's definitely a '99 - registered on 01/05/99 - I just asked cos I didn't know they'd done the same model with cast and spoked wheels. Should go in without mods then, yeah?

Dave - from what I can tell with the wheel still in the bike, it does look like that one, yeah.
