Steering lock

Hi all, I've a 05 Ultra, locked bike up, next morning unlocked, turned Knob to start but lock did not come off, anyone an idea how the lock works, and how to free it as going round in tight left hand circles aint any fun!
Ps I don't know if this post is regarded as a "security" type question, but any info would be great.

Re: Steering lock

Thanks Jake, this happened down at RTTW, after about an hour of shaking and banging it came loose, not locked it again yet till I figure out what happened. How did things go with your "clunk" sound.
I guess you made it home ok.

Re: Steering lock

Still clunking away George, but made it home last night, cold and a bit battered by that wind. Great to see so many made it this year.
Good luck with the lock: I don't rely on mine at all, and always take the heavy Almax chain away with me (although maybe I should have left it at home, and stuck a big sign on, saying "Please take me!" the way things are going...

Almax aren't cheap, but did give a club discount when I bought mine.
