white markins on black engine casing

Hi

Last year pruchased Dyna lowrider with the black engine casing trouble is 1 year on I have noticed white markins looks like salt marks on the black casing. Have tried to wash it off but seems not to remove have now placed s100 anticorrosive spray on the casing but it appears to have come back in places.

Does anyone have a way of stopping the white marks or a product to clean them off.

Thanks
Galeforce

White spirit and an old tooth brush works for getting dried polish off of the black casings.

Try a drop of WD40, just squirt a drop into a container,(the can lid will do) and then use an old tooth brush or cotton buds to brush it on.

You can buy black polish for woodburninh stoves which I find really good. It comes in a tube and just put it on with a tooth brush and bacause its designed not to burn of with the heat leaves a good protective finish. You can buy it from most stove or fireplace shops.

I was trying to remember the name, S100 (as per easyriders reply) - thats the stuff. Wipe the major bits of crud of your engine cases, spray S100 on. Wait 15 mins, wipe the excess off and then spray again. Doesn't matter if the spray hits chrome, aluminium etc - it just replenishes the black and makes it look like new. Think its made with magic powder ...
